The Paihia Residence is sited on undoubtedly one of the most amazing and well situated sites in Northland. Whilst only a minute’s drive from the centre of town, it captures a panoramic 180 degree sea views, across to the beautiful town of Russell. 

Our clients – a couple looking to build their dream retirement home – had the vision of a four bedroom, three bathroom home, with multiple indoor and outdoor entertaining areas. This was certainly achieved. 

The Arcline Team worked closely with both our clients and other consultants to ensure the home fitted snugly on the tight and steep site. What eventuated was a detailed yet warm design, with natural stone and rich timber finishing. 

Upon entering the home, through the large entry pivot door, you’re immediately greeted with the welcoming open plan living spaces. To the left and right are hallways to bedrooms, bordered with amazing natural timbers and artwork. 

Secret features, like the hidden deck hatch leading to a cellar and the hidden fold down TV in the outdoor soffit, add to the enjoyable complexity of the design. 

Not to be missed is the outdoor entertainment area. Expansive decking wraps around the fire pit and the infinity pool, seamlessly connecting the outdoor area to the bay beyond.
