In late 2019 Arcline were engaged by the newly formed South Peak Homes team, based in Westport. Seeing the need for transportable homes on the West Coast they came together to create a company that could produce good quality homes at an affordable price, but most importantly – at speed. 

We worked with them to create their full range of transportable home plans, then once done, produced plans for their first show home, based on their Mantell design. 

Designing homes to be transported (especially in the Buller District) is a tricky exercise, with length, width and height restrictions, not to mention the tight and twisty roads of the West Coast region. 

The home was a simple design, two mono-pitch eaveless pods with picture framed ends connected by a low pitched roof. It’s eye catching, stunning and the color choice was perfect, using darks and timbers as smiled upon by South Islanders to blend their homes into the landscape. 

Being a show home it needed to attract clients, to get people thinking about building their next home and what it could look like. 

Arcline are now working on all of South Peak Homes projects, producing full working drawings for consents and permits in various councils around the South Island.
