Metlifecare, The Orchards
Lifestyle Retirement is a prominent and fast growing industry in New Zealand. More and more people are retiring into these villages and communities to spend time with their friends and family and socialise with people of a similar age.
Metlifecare is one of the leading providers of these houses, buildings and facilities, offering exceptional retirement living in the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Hamilton, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu and the Kapiti Coast.
Every village has to be carefully designed to suit the site and the end user meaning the need for retirement village architecture has swelled in the past 10 years.
Arcline Architecture have provided Metlifecare with architectural design services for a number of their villages; The Orchards in Auckland, Oakridge Village in Kerikeri & their Beach Village in Papamoa. Not only do each of the villages have to be designed to suit Metlifecares requirements as an investment, but they must fit seamlessly into the surrounding environment and be an attractive place to live for potential home and room owners.
Arcline worked with Aspec Construction to design, construct and project manage The Orchards project in Glenfield, Auckland.
This boutique apartment village offers independent living with beautiful grounds and gardens, and is home to many residents enjoying the stunning lifestyle it offers. The village also has many care services, including residential hospital care and a rest home on-site.
