Kerikeri High Math & Science Block

Arcline were engaged by the Ministry of Education and Kerikeri High School to design a Math & Science Block, a two-storey classroom building in the centre of the school.

With the Kerikeri population increasing, Kerikeri High School’s roll numbers are only set to further increase. This means the school is continually looking to expand and enhance the learning spaces for the children attending the school.

Arcline was engaged to design this two storey classroom block and its facilities. Going up instead of out retained the grass breakout areas in the centre of the school. These green spaces also include large mature trees, giving the school a fresh vibrant feel for the children and teachers alike.

The ground floor included three classrooms, a common learning space, resource room, several storage rooms and male and female toilets. The first floor included a further three classrooms, office spaces and perimeter concrete deck.

After the design was complete, full working drawings and specifications were submitted to Far North District Council and Building Consent obtained. The project was then handed to A-Line Construction, who did a fantastic job of building and completing the internal fitout.

Another successful education architecture project completed by the Arcline Team – enhancing learning with modern teaching spaces. Contact us today to discuss your next education or school architecture project.
